HSO: Club Officer Training Information
Club & Organization Training
Starting this semester, we will be shifting C&O training sessions to an asynchronous format. Rather than scheduling dates/times for you to sign up, we've created a training video that you can watch, and it has been posted in our D2L page (under Content, Leadership Training, Training Video/Quiz). This is to improve flexibility and allow all club leaders and advisors to attend. Once you have watched the training video, you will need to take a quiz and pass with a 100% in order for it to be marked as complete. Don't worry, the test is not difficult as it checks key information you will need throughout the year, and you will have unlimited time and attempts.
Please remember that attending a C&O training session is a requirement to register your club and receive full access your club funds. If for some reason you don't have access to our D2L page, please email us at studentlife@oakton.edu and we will get you and any member of your group added.
Club Recruitment Fair
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) will be hosting a Club Recruitment Fair this spring, to invite and inform new/returning students of opportunities to get involved with your clubs/organizations. CAB plans to do this in the following ways:
Inform students on how to connect with clubs/organizations by creating interactive flyers accessible online and in-person.
Identify two dates for clubs/organizations to staff a recruitment table, if interested and able to be on campus. They are on Feb 22nd and Feb 23rd. We will need to limit each day to be mindful of our current Covid protocols.
Engage students in a fun way through games during a virtual event on Feb 24th. We ask that clubs/organizations send a representative to participate. You're eligible to win prizes!
CAB needs clubs/organizations help to finalize the points above, therefore, we ask that you complete this Google form and provide us with the necessary information. Deadline to complete is Feb 14th, 11:59pm.
