Congratulations to Paola Castro!

Honors student and ¡ANDALE! member, Paola Castro, has been awarded a competitive Latino Resources scholarship.  This follows her Honors recognition as last year’s Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Student of the Year.  As a member of the Honors Program, Paola has pursued an integrated program of study from her early Honors Contract focusing on the borderland theory of Gloria Anzaldúa to her dialogue with community artist William Estrada.  She is set to graduate not only with the Honors Scholar Designation, but having completed concentrations in Peace and Social Justice Studies as well as Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
